Welcome — I’m NanaKaye.

Also known as Karen Ormond Garris, I’m a storyteller, illustrator, and lifelong dreamer from a quiet corner of North Carolina. Here, beneath porch lights and lantern glow, stories are passed down from one generation to the next.

This little corner of the world is home to the places and people who have grown from my heart over the years:
the winding paths of Hare Hollow, the warm fields of Huckleberry Farm, the hidden roots of Gnomegulch, and the deeper worlds waiting quietly beneath them all.

If you’ve spent time among these stories already, then you know they are woven with kindness, wonder, courage, family, and the enduring feeling of home.

But storytelling doesn’t end with books.

From my studio, I also create printable journals, vintage-inspired paper collections, storybook ephemera, character dolls, and cozy creative treasures for fellow memory-keepers, journalers, and dreamers. Every page, paper, and keepsake is created with the same spirit that fills my stories: preserving moments that matter and passing them gently forward.
