Welcome — I’m NanaKaye.

Also known as Karen Ormond Garris, I’m a storyteller, illustrator, and lifelong dreamer from a quiet corner of North Carolina. This site is where I share the heart behind my books, the stories, the sketches, the inspirations, the family memories, and the quiet moments that keep me writing.

If you’ve wandered the lantern-lit paths of The Adventures of Hare Hollow, stepped into the steady red soil of Huckleberry Farm, listened for the rooted whispers of Gnomegulch, or crossed the veil into Chronicles of Elyria, then you already know, my stories are stitched with kindness, courage, and the deep roots of home.

From my little studio, I also create digital design kits for junk journaling and memory-keeping, printable treasures filled with vintage florals, storybook papers, character dolls, and cozy embellishments to help you craft keepsake pages of your own. These designs are an extension of the worlds I write, tools for preserving the stories that matter most.
